what i wore

Thursday I headed to Disney Social Media Moms conference. The first night, we had a party on the beach and I wore jeans and a gorgeous tunic I picked up at Loft Outlet last year.

Friday was conference day! I wore the same thing I wore to the fashion show last week. I just love this shirt!
shirt: LOFT {already sold out – similar}
jeans: 7 for all mankind
shoes: target

Saturday I was SUPER stylish while on the Wild African Trek at Animal Kingdom! How rugged am I?

Monday was a chilly and cloudly return to reality. Sigh. So I dipped into the neon to brighten things up.

top: old navy {buy here}

Tuesday was a bit warmer. YAY!! I started out with a belt, then took it off. It was so annoying. I think I need a thinner belt for this outfit.

recipes for cinco de mayo

I’m pretty sure I could eat Mexican food every day for the rest of my life and be perfectly and completely happy.

Not to mention, I am kind-of well know for making an amazing margarita.
Not a bad signature drink! Here is my super-dooper secret recipe. You will LOVE it!

Margarita

1 can frozen limeaid
1/2 can triple sec
1/2 – 1 can tequila

Blend with ice. Serve in glass rimmed with salt. Designate a driver.

My other favorites for Cinco de Mayo?

These are the best black beans. My kids love these. We use them as a side dish or to make tacos!

Although, carne asada tacos or carnitas are always a good option.

For something a little more gourmet, try Cornmeal Crusted Tilapia with Salsa.

What are you making for Cinco de Mayo?

Then Sunday I wore a cute new cami from Kohls with a belted cardi. It was chilly, but the top still felt springy.

fashion friday: disney bound

Next week, I’m heading to Orlando for the Disney Social Media Moms conference. Much to the dismay of my poor, neglected children who will not be coming with me. We keep having conversations like: “So you’re going to ride Space Mountain….. without me?” (insert tear-filled Bambi eyes here) And me assuring them that I will be working  most of the time and not having lots of time to go on rides. *Ahem.*

But here is the challenge: how does one look cute at Disney?

First: find come cute shoes that are actually comfortable. I love my Privos! They are so so comfy and look great with everything – even shorts. I hate wearing sneakers with shorts.  These are on sale for only $40!

Second: stay cool and comfy. Maybe a nice flowy top and capris or shorts. Perfect for the parks – staying cool but still stylish!

tops: anthropologie | bottoms: old navy

And don’t rule out a dress! I love wearing maxi dresses to parks. They’re so cool and comfy – I wear them with my super comfy Reef flip flips. Steer clear of shorter dresses – you don’t want to have any un-family-friendly moments climbing in and out of rides, now!

What are your favorite things to wear at Disney?
