We had an amazing time at the wedding this weekend! I have about 800 pictures but here’s a peek for you to enjoy while I go through all the laundry and hopefully take a nap.

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.
Amen.

Every girl needs a little black dress. If you need one, there are some amazing ones out there right now!
This one from White House Black Market has an A-line cut, v-neck and belt that are universally flattering. You could dress it up with amazing jewelry and heels or wear it with a cute cardigan for the office.

I’d love a strapless black dress – and if I bought one it would be this one from J Crew. Love, love, LOVE.

This one is darling! Its a Piperlime exclusive – for only $44!

And I LOVE this pleated drape dress from Gap!

For a real bargain, try this one from Mossimo for just $24!

My favorite thing to order at a Mexican restaurant is carne asada tacos. LOVE them. So I've been trying to make them at home. Last night, I gave this version that I found on Food Network a try. These weren't the best ones I've had, but they were quite yummy, a hit with the family and super easy!
Carne Asada Tacos
1 pound thinly sliced sirloin steak
1-2 tablespoons garlic salt
Freshly ground black pepper
1/3 cup white vinegar
shredded lettuce
shredded cheese
corn tortillas
Lay out the beef rounds in a single layer. Season the meat on both sides with the garlic salt and black pepper. Put the meat in a medium mixing bowl and add the vinegar. Let the meat marinate for at least 2 hours or overnight in the refrigerator.
Warm tortillas in oven. Serve with lettuce, cheese, and any other toppings you love on your tacos!
Tina Fey is becoming one of my new favorite celebrity moms. I loved her interview in this month's InStyle! Fey says: "Anyone who will barge into the room while you are on the commode is the boss of you. And when you explain to them that you're on the commode and that they should leave but they don't? That's a high-level boss."
This is my life.
My kids have zero respect for bathroom privacy. The very idea that someone might want privacy while doing their business in completely foreign to them. We've been trying to push this issue lately, but to zero effect.
Look at what we're working with:
This seems like a losing battle. I lock the door, but then they just bang on it. I can't decide what's more annoying.
Maybe I should just get an outhouse. Far, far away.

I loved this :: The Worst Reason to Homeschool
We have chosen not to homeschool our kids, although we have lots of friends who do it successfully and I admire them for their decision.

On Her Birthday ::
Kelly offers a unique perspective on the first birthday with her daughter adopted from China. This post is so, so sweet.
"I’m thinking of that visit today, wondering what it was like for my daughter’s birth mother today 2 years ago. I know I can’t romanticize the event. I do not know what her situation was; I just know that she and the birth father could not keep her. But, I do wonder. I wonder if they loved her the moment they first saw her. I wonder if she nursed her and cradled her close. I wonder if they saw themselves in her and laughed about her strength even as a newborn. I wonder what they named her."
Its 75 degrees today. AND SUNNY. {insert happy dance} So lets find some cute spring things!!!
1. I am totally and completely in love with this skirt by White House Black Market. Isn’t it absolutely darling?!?! (The sash is removable, but of course its my favorite part!)

2. I LOVE wearing dressed in the summer. And my favorite is the maxi dress. So super comfy and they can go from the pool to out to dinner with just a change of shoes! I picked up this one recently at Target. Its a little more boho than I usually wear, but for summer it looks like fun!

3. My other favorite part of spring? Breaking out the sandals! My friend Julie has these and I’ve been drooling over them for like two years. And now they’re 45% off on 6pm.com! (plus 5% cash back!)

4. Don’t forget flip flops!

5. I love flowy, blousey tops! And they are way too many to choose from. But I tried on this twist pleat shell at Loft the other day and it was yummy!
