wordless wednesday: plotting their next adventure
my week in instagram
This week was so so busy. But super fun!
A huge part of my week was spent sitting by the pool while the kids took lessons.
We went for two weeks of lessons every day, so for two hours every morning, we were hanging out at the Y.

Thursday was dress rehearsal for dance. They let the little girls stay in the auditorium to watch the pointe ensemble.
Gracie was in awe. She was leaning forward, on the edge of her seat.
When it was over, she turned to me and said, eyes shining, “I’m going to do that someday.”

Poor Colin got two shots, then had to get several vials of blood drawn for testing.
The deserved ice cream, that did.
He was very generous and offered me some.
I passed.
The weekend was spent picking out tile.
Do you know how many shades of tan-ish tile there are?
A million billion zillion.
We went with the darker one.
We’re ripping out the mudroom floor today.
By “we” I mean my husband and his dad.
I will bring them cold drinks and offer helpful advice,
like “Don’t get grout on the carpet” and “Are you sure you’re doing this right?”
What did you Instagram this week?

my week in instagram
we had such a fun week this past week.
it started with a trip to NYC.
much to gracie’s delight, we had time to stop at her favorite place!

before we headed over to play soccer with brandi chastain,
which was ellie’s highlight!

for some reason i am dropping everything this week.
i dropped my coffee, the bag of cat food (much to the cat’s delight),
a bagel and an egg.

Oh well. we are also, i am happy sad to announce, hermit crab free.
the third hermit crab died.
so we had yet another funeral.

and wouldn’t ya know… just when i declare i’m not going to eat sugar…
look what arrives from switzerland:

busy week. lots going on!
friday we had so much fun on colin’s first trip to nyc.
he loved times square, despite the chill.
runs in the family.

saturday i went to my friend kassel’s birthday party.
love that girl.

it was nice the other day, so we spent lost of time outside,
swinging and playing.

and naturally, the day after we were outside with no coat,
it snowed. check out the view from our deck.
about 10 deer were in our backyard.

date night at the local brew pub.
beer samplers are fun.

gracie wrote a story for school. look at the dedication:
“this is dedicated to my family who make my life AWESOME.”

great week.
