fashion friday: for the kiddos!

This week Gap unveiled a limited-edition babyGap collection inspired by Beatrix Potter’s “The Tale of Peter Rabbit.” As an expecting Auntie, I could not possibly be more excited about this! The collection, for girls and boys, newborn to 24 months, features graphic onesies, oxford shirts, cable-knit cardigans, colored denim, patterned dresses, and accessories retailing from $6.99 to $55.

“Peter Rabbit is a timeless character that generations of children have enjoyed, so we’re thrilled to offer a babyGap collection inspired by characters and scenes from the books,” said Lexi Tawes, vice president of merchandising for Gap North America. “We think customers will love the playful designs, from Peter Rabbit’s iconic blue sweater to the whimsical, bunny-inspired patterns.”

On Saturday, actress Elizabeth Banks (looking fabulous as usual!) read Emma Thompson’s sequel, “The Further Tale of Peter Rabbit,” to an invite-only crowd of celebrities and their tots at The Grove in Los Angeles.
Reading events will take place in nine other cities on Jan. 26. I am super honored to be reading at the Philadelphia BabyGap! I hope you’ll bring your little ones and join me for this special event! Event components include: Children’s book drive benefitting the local Boys & Girls Club chapter, book reading by me at 11:30am, refreshments & coloring activities and a special giveaway of The Further Tail of Peter Rabbit!
